John Whinnerah Roundabout is a roundabout in Barrow-in-Furness. It provides access to the Corner House Retail Park and town centre.
John Whinnerah was a former mayor and chairman of the council's education committee. The Grade II listed John Whinnerah Institute was named after him, which was constructed with the aim of improving educational facilities for young people and women from the poorest parts of the area.
It was previously a mini-roundabout, but after 2006 and before 2014 it had been converted into a full roundabout, including attractive floral planting in the centre. This was as part of the Hindpool retail park development which incorporates the Whinnerah Institute Building, now used for retail purposes.
