Kinellar Roundabout lies at the western end of the Blackburn bypass on the A96. It was opened with the bypass in 1998 and connects the A96 to the former route through the village, now the B973, although sometimes erroneously signed as the B979. As with other roundabout built as part of the same scheme, it is a compact design with minimal flaring between the carriageways of the A96, and little space between the various approaches and exits on the roundabout itself. A fourth arm heads south, turning west to Kinellar, which is also set along the old line of the A96.
