From Croom, this route took the now unclassified road south west to Ballingarry, where it picked up the route of the R519 south to Drumcolliher. It then headed south east on the modern R522 to the crossroads with the R578. Here it met the L37 and the two routes seem to have multiplexed south to Liscarroll, where the L118 continued south on the now unclassified road to Castlecor.
