Lair Junction lies next to Wester Lair Farm in the scenic Glen Shee. The junction has recently (2016) undergone a major improvement with the former almost blind bend immediately to the south eradicated by realigning the A93 and changing the B951 to meet it at a better angle. Previously, the B road ramped up all the way to the give way line, but it has now been widened and provided with a 'table' to allow vehicles to sit level at the junction, and with the changes to the A93 line, what was previously quite a tricky junction to exit is now somewhat safer. The junction is not a busy one, however, so there was no apparent need to introduce any turning lanes.
