Liffey Valley Interchange is a junction near the start of the N4; it is numbered junction 2. It primarily serves the large Liffey Valley shopping centre, and as such it receives a lot of traffic, much of which heads for the M50.
It was opened in 1998, and at the time was officially known as Quarryvale Interchange. That name has fallen out of popular use after the planned Quarryvale shopping centre was replaced by Liffey Valley.
