Lloyd Hill Roundabout is located on the A449 on the southwestern side of Wolverhampton, on the local authority boundary between City of Wolverhampton Council and Staffordshire County Council.
It also forms the southern terminus for the locally classified U112, which parallels A449 to the west on its way to the city centre.
Staffordshire County Council give this roundabout an alternative name of Springfields Roundabout, but this would appear to be an error on their part as it is in the district of Spring Hill, and the nearest Springfields is on the opposite side of Wolverhampton city centre.
Historically, the junction was a crossroads with priority to the A449 through the junction. The present roundabout was constructed in 1975 along with the A449 dual carriageway construction to either side.
