The Lord of the Manor junction is a double roundabout junction found over the Ramsgate-Dover Railway line. At classification the two roads were numbered A253 and A256 respectably and the two roads crossed two bridges to the crossroads. The junction remained the same layout for 67 years as a busy crossroads. In the 1990s though it was rebuilt. The crossroads were abandoned and a new bridge built between the two existing bridges. This bridge replaced the older bridges and it became a mini multiplex between the A253 & A256. In the early 00's, the A253 was renumbered to A299 so there was a continuous number between the M2 and Ramsgate's ferry terminal. Due to this, the junction was changed as the A299 has now been dualled. It has bypassed Cliffs End and go under the railway line to meet the southern roundabout. The multiplex is now plan A256.
