M1 Junction 11 is a roundabout interchange with the A505 between Luton and Dunstable.
Both towns grew towards the junction, ending up agglomerating together, leading to congestion on the only major route between them (the A505) that has to also serve as a major motorway access for both towns. Various solutions have been tried to relieve it including the A5065 bypass of the junction, and downgrading the route towards Luton. Local proposals for link roads to the future Junction 11A have also been made to try and relieve this junction.
