Darenth Interchange is junction 2 of the A282 and M25.
The junction was built in 1972 when the Second Dartford By-Pass opened. In 1977 the M25 opened southwards towards the Swanley Interchange. In 1991, traffic for Dartford was redirected from M25 J1b to this junction to prevent weaving. Finally in 2008, new slip roads were built for traffic to & from the North to the A2 east to Dover.
