Godstone Interchange is junction 6 of the M25. The original part of the M25 to open in Surrey was J6 to J8 in 1976, and this was the terminal of the motorway until 1979 when it was extended to Chevening. The short dual carriageway to a roundabout on the A25 was built at the same time as the Godstone interchange to route traffic from the temporary end of the M25 down to the A25; this now forms part of the A22 Godstone Bypass.
