Minley Interchange is junction 4A of the M3. It was opened in 1992 along with the Minley Link Road (Minley Road to Fleet Road, Cove) which was first planned in 1983.
The layout of the junction was designed to accommodate comments from residents, and to avoid a site of special scientific interest. Contractor was Costain. The project cost £5.42 million. The original plan had been to use the existing C4 Minley Road bridge.
