The M6 50th birthday awaydays were held on the 4 and 5 December 2008 at The Windmill Hotel on the A677 near Blackburn in Lancashire.

Over the course of the two days, roadtrips along the Preston Bypass and various local features nearby as well as going all the way to the Scottish border to sample the then brand new Cumberland Gap were undertaken.
