Margam Interchange is junction 38 of the M4 motorway. There are exits from the motorway to the A48 in both directions but access is available from the A48 only to the eastbound carriageway of the M4. Traffic from the A48 wishing to join the westbound motorway must continue a further kilometre or so north-north-westward to the Groes Interchange (junction 39).
