Mile End Roundabout is the start of a multiplex between the A5 and A483. These two roads were built as part of the Oswestry Bypass in 1987. The junction is a former camp site.
Previous to this junction being built, the A4083 Shrewsbury Road crossed this rough location. It is now represented by the B4579 to the west of here, and the small lane to the south-east.
