For the Milton Interchange between the A34 and A4130 west of Didcot, Berkshire, see Milton Interchange (Didcot).
Milton Interchange is junction 28 (formerly junction 33) of the A14, the busy main junction for north Cambridge and the Cambridge Science Park.
It was reprofiled in the mid 00's, including a turning lane from the A1309 to the Westbound A14. This junction is also the turn off from the A14 for one of Cambridge's 5 park and ride sites; the others being in Trumpington (SW: A1309), Madingley Road (W: A1303), Newmarket Road (E: A1303) and Babraham Road (SE: A1307)
As part of the A14 Huntingdon to Cambridge Improvement, the junction was further upgraded. This improvement consisted of a freeflow left turn for A14 eastbound to A10 northbound, and adding a third lane across the eastern bridge. The third lane was created by reducing the width of the NMU path; this was possible as pedestrians and cyclists can use the dedicated bridge to the east.
