Minley Interchange is junction 4A of the M3. It was built in 1991 along with the Minley Link Road, which was first planned in 1983.
The layout of the junction was designed to accommodate comments from residents, and to avoid a site of special scientific interest. The project cost £5.42 million. The original plan had been to use the existing C4 Minley Road bridge.
