The Monnow Bridge crosses the River Monnow in Monmouth, the county town of Monmouthshire. It is currently pedestrianised however until March 2004 it formed part of the B4293. A new bridge was constructed to the south to enable traffic to bypass the Monnow Bridge.
It has a 14th Century gatehouse on the bridge, and is the only remaining medieval fortified bridge left in Great Britain.
