Junctions related to the A647 | |||
New Bank Gyratory forms the eastern terminus of Halifax's inner relief road, Burdock Way. It was opened in 1973 in a partially completed state in anticipation of further improvements to the road, which were later shelved.
It is notable for the utterly bizarre layout featuring a give way junction, signals, and a huge loop movement for certain paths through the junction. It can become very busy, and high volumes of traffic make it somewhat nerve-racking for the unprepared driver.
