The New Bridge in Gunnislake crosses the River Tamar which forms the boundary between Devon and Cornwall. The A390 narrows to single track across the bridge, but is controlled by priority signs rather than traffic lights, suggesting relatively low traffic volumes. The bridge was built in 1520 and seems little altered. It consists of 6 arches with pedestrian refuges over each of the cutwaters on both sides.
