New Ross is a town in the west of County Wexford, bordering County Kilkenny. For many years it was a bottleneck in the roads system as all traffic has to negotiate the O'Hanrahan Bridge to cross the River Barrow, including the N25 and N30 National Primary roads. While New Ross acquired a relief road (when?), no new crossing was built until the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge was opened in 2020 as part of a new dual carriageway bypass to the south.
It is a Terminal Destination on the N30.
