Teign Estuary Viaduct carries the A380 Newton Abbot and Kingsteinton Bypass (Besigheim Way) over the River Teign. The river is tidal up to this bridge. It is dual carriageway throughout, has 11 spans, and forms the southern end of the bypass.
2015 Repairs
The £3 million scheme started in May 2015 and was completed on 19 December 2015. It involved repairs to a failed expansion joint at the north end, waterproofing the 10,000 sq. m. bridge deck, replacing the entire drainage system and resurfacing the road.
