|Junctions related to the A394|
Newtown Roundabout is a roundabout between the A30 and A394 in West Cornwall. It was originally built in 1982 when the Marazion Bypass was built to the west of the junction, and included a link road to the former B3310, which cut the corner between the A30 near Crowlas and the A394 in Marazion.
It was rebuilt in 1987 when the Long Rock Bypass opened to the west of the junction, leaving the old A30 into Long Rock unclassified.
Plans were made in 1993 for a Dual Carriageway bypass of Crowlas and up to Hayle. There were two options for the junction.
- An enlarged roundabout, making a sixth arm to the roundabout between the current A30 and the A394.
- A dumbbell junction to replace the roundabout completely.
The plans never made it to fruition, although there are still campaigns for the bypass.
