Nightingales Corner is a junction in Little Chalfont's shopping area. From the Hatfield - Reading turnpike (A404) roads to Chorleywood (Burton's Lane) and Chalfont St Giles (B4442) head roughly south.
The junction takes its name from the row of shops on the corner, which itself takes its name from Nightingales Cottage, which was on Coke's Lane.
In 1937, proposals for new roads in the London area proposed an upgrade of Burton's Lane that linked to a new build road via Maple Cross to end on the B455 near Northwood.
