Norfolk Bridge crosses the River Adur on the A259 on the edge of Shoreham-by-Sea.
The image shown is the third bridge on the site having opened in 1987 to replace one built in 1923 which in turn had replaced the original 1833 suspension bridge[1]. Prior to that all traffic over the Adur went by the 18th century wooden toll bridge. Thae 1923 bridge was declared toll free in 1927.
