O'Hanrahan Bridge carries the R723 over the River Barrow between the counties of Wexford and Kilkenny, in New Ross.
It was once the main crossing for the N25, however, with the opening of the Rose Fitzgerald Kennedy Bridge and New Ross bypass to the south, strategic traffic has been removed from the centre of the town.
The bridge was named after Michael O'Hanrahan, who was executed by firing squad on May 4, 1916, at Kilmainham Jail. It opened in 1967, and is the seventh bridge at, or near, the site - the first being constructed in 1207[1].
