Overton Bridge is where the A528 Marchwiel to Shrewsbury road crosses the River Dee. The Dee here forms the border between Denbighshire and the Maelor detached part of Flintshire. Heading from Marchwiel the road passes into Flintshire before reaching the historic town of Overton a mile and a half further on.
