Panners Interchange (eastbound signs), or Great Notley Interchange (westbound signs) is the interchange between the A120 and A131.
When the Braintree Bypass was built in 1989, this junction was a small roundabout with a new link road that ran around the western side of Braintree; we know this as Pods Brook Road.
This area was identified as being ripe for development, and a second roundabout was soon constructed so that the Great Notley Bypass (which was more of a development corridor) could join the link road.
In 2004, as part of the link road to Stansted, a flyover was constructed at the junction. The two roundabouts were retained as part of the new road layout.
