This is a bridge of many names, also being known as Pont-y-bont or Treferw Bridge. The bridge itself is a fairly plain stone structure, with just a single arch to carry the B4340 across the Afon Ystwyth.
The current bridge is believed to be early 19th century in date, although it has been widened at some point since then. However, there has been a bridge here since at least 1744 when repairs were carried out.
