|Junctions related to the A8082|
Queens Park Roundabout is a new roundabout on the new A8082 which is part of the Inverness West Link Project, and will eventually allow traffic flows to be maintained across the Caledonian Canal even when the Swing Bridges are open. This will be provided by a new bridge across the canal to be built immediately to the west of this junction, although it is unlikely to be completed before 2020 due to the need to reconstruct the golf course in advance of the necessary land being released.
The roundabout is named after the Queens Park athletics track which it is next to.
The junction appears to be a 3 arm roundabout, where all 3 arms seem likely to be numbered as the A8082. The two connecting to the A82 will be primary, as per their role as an A82 diversion route. Whilst the construction of this new road and roundabout has closed up part of Bught Road, accessing Bught Park and Inverness' leisure centres, at present it does not appear that a 4th arm is to be provided to give direct access to this area. However the bught road has simply been joined up to the existing road past the Floral hall and Leisure centre.
When the road opened the junction name on the advance direction signs erroneously called it "Queens Roundabout", but these were subsequently patched over to correct this.
