Looking west-north-west on the R401 on its way out of Rathangan. The main road ahead continues towards Clonbulloge and Edenderry. The L3001 to the right also goes to Edenderry – by a more direct route, but one less suitable for heavy vehicles.

The R401 connects the R148 and R446 at Rossan in County Meath (immediately adjoining Kinnegad in County Westmeath), to the R413 and R415 in Kildare Town, running by way of Edenderry in County Offaly and Rathangan.
