The R618 in County Cork connects the village of Carrigrohane, 6 km west of Cork city centre, to Sleveen East, 1 km east of Macroom, by way of the north bank of the River Lee in a long loop off the N22.
Since the opening of the N22 bypass, the R618 now takes over the eastern part of the old N22 through Macroom. The rest of the road now follows the old route of the N22 all the way up to Slieveragh just north of Ballyvourney.
