The R814 is a very short, unsigned, link in central Dublin. It links the R813 at City Quay to the R118 at Pearse Street. Due to one way restrictions, it is arguably an important part of both roads.
The road is named Lombard Street East in both directions, and part of the clockwise Inner Orbital Route.
It is a wide road, running in the southbound direction only, with cycle lanes added in both directions in 2019. Under the Dublin Transportation Plan, the road would have carried traffic southbound as it does, but would also have allowed northbound traffic to reach City Quay, to access the motorway.
