Regent Road Roundabout is junction 3 of the M602.
Located to the West of Manchester, just inside Salford, at the end of the M602 this "hamburger" roundabout concentrates all traffic arriving down the M62 and A580 East Lancashire Road, from The West, along with a substantial proportion of traffic that came down the M62 from the North East. It was originally a crossroads, but was converted to a roundabout when the M602 opened in 1982 and converted to its current layout in the early 1990s.
It has recently undergone substantial landscaping, lighting and environmental works as part of the Quays Gateway scheme, intended to improve the initial impression given to visitors to the area.
