Renfrewshire Council (Class III roads)

From Roader's Digest: The SABRE Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

C-Class roads in the Renfrewshire Council area. The council does not provide lists with numbers, only which streets are classified as C roads. However, various roadworks and maintenance reports have managed to reveal some numbers. The routes with known numbers are shown below and indicate that numbering is shared with the other two Renfrewshire councils.

The remaining routes' numbers have not yet been found. Routes believed to be C roads without a known number are as follows:

The council also lists C road numbers in a searchable database as part of a road fault reporting form. However, no further details for the numbers are provided. The numbers do however further confirm a shared numbering system with the other two Renfrewshire councils. The numbers listed by the council include all of the ones that have a known corresponding route as above, as well as others with unknown routes shown in the table below:

C19C33C35C41
C42C52C59C68
C71C85C87C88

Something of particular note across the three Renfrewshire council areas is that all C road numbers from C62 upwards with a known corresponding route are urban in nature, so on that basis it seems likely that many of the higher numbers mentioned in the above table will match up to routes within the various towns across the Renfrewshire Council area while the lower numbers may correspond to routes wandering into the countryside.
