The Report of the Departmental Committee on Traffic Signs 1944 was a review of the Pre-Worboys traffic signs system.

The committee was formed to "consider the system of road traffic signs and other cognate means of controlling traffic on roads and to make recommendations".

The committee was comprised of a number of people concerned with road signs, such as representatives from the AA, RAC, Ministry of War Transport, County Councils and Police Forces. The chairman of the committee was Sir Frederick Cook.
