SH92 (New Zealand)

The SH92 formerly connected the SH1 between Invercargill and Balclutha, however it was downgraded to a local road in the early 1990s. It also, for a time, included the former route of the SH91 as a disconnected spur. The main section is still part of the Southern Scenic Route Tourist Route.

The route started in the south of Invercargill and left the town via Elles Street and Scott Street. It then headed west to Fortrose, before passing through the Caitlins to briefly meet the coast around Papatowai. It then turned north and north east to pass through Owaka before eventually rejoining SH1 at Balclutha. The spur started a short distance to the east along SH1 and ran south east to Kaitangata.
