At the western end of the Amersham bypass, Shardeloes Roundabout marks the beginning of the Little Missenden dual carriageway. It takes its name from the manor house, the grounds of which the roundabout is in.
For some years access to Amersham Old Town was limited to buses and cycles only (though cars could head out of the town). The move was unpopular, and restored, though there is traffic calming on this route into the town.
