Sleaford Road Roundabout is a newly built roundabout part of the Lincoln Eastern Bypass built between 2017 and 2020. It was one of 4 new roundabouts built in the scheme.
The roundabout is also due to be part of the North Hykeham Relief Road (also known as the Lincoln South Bypass) plans. Plans released in 2018 show that the southern bypass would be dual carriageway from this roundabout to North Hykeham Roundabout on the A46 and further in 2023 plans showed that a Toucan crossing would be provided across the A607 on the Northern side of the roundabout
