Sleaford Rugby Club Junction, also locally known as Bone Mill Junction is a GSJ in Sleaford, Lincolnshire.
History
1975
It was constructed in 1975 as part of the A17 Sleaford Northern Bypass.
1990s
In the late 1990s the southern slip road terminated onto a roundabout rather than a t junction.
2020s
In 2019 improvements were announced to be carried out on this junction, they were:
- New lanes installed on all approaches
- Traffic signals installed
- Right-turn ban implemented from A153 onto the A17 slip road. (Likely to the eastbound A17, instead doing a U-turn at the roundabout then a left-turn onto the slip).
- Reduction of speed limit to 40MPH on all approaches, 40MPH limit used to start beyond the other roundabout.
These improvements were originally scheduled to take place from April to July 2020, however due to the coronavirus pandemic, works started on the 27th May, 8 weeks later than originally planned.
