Spey Bay Roundabout lies on the A96 to the West of Fochabers. The roundabout was constructed as part of the Fochabers bypass scheme which opened in February 2012, and is where the old and new routes diverge, having crossed Fochabers Bridge immediately to the west. The roundabout was constructed in a small area of land between the A96 and B9104, as the two converged, with the south west side of the roundabout being roughly on the line of the old A96. The east side of the roundabout lies roughly where the B9104 ran, although it was some distance to the south where the two met. This fork seems to have been realigned at some point, to turn the B road around to meet the A96 at right angles, whereas originally it appears to have been a sharper fork.
The B9104 now crosses the A96 at the roundabout, and has been extended along the former lines of the A96 through the town to the east end. The bypass runs along close to the northern edge of the town, and remains roughly parallel to the old route along the High Street.
