St. Margarets Roundabout (Hampshire)

|Location Map ( geo)|
St Margarets Roundabout is a roundabout near Fareham.
To the east of the junction, the two carriageways split to go around a house. Before the junction was built, this was a single carriageway which snaked around a property. The road was then dualled by adding a straighter alignment to the north, but as the new dual carriageway ended immediately to the east of here, it looked like the house had its own island.
At this time St Margarets Lane met the A27 to the west of the petrol station. The roundabout was provided in 1980s, to serve the new roads associated with the new business parks and residential developments.
