Stechford Bridge carries the A4040 over River Cole, in Setchford. The bridge is actually a pair of bridges, each carrying two traffic lanes. The northern bridge is an older brick arch construction, built in 1895. It is believed that wooden bridge(s?) may have existed on the site since 1497.
From 2019 to 2021, the new bridge was built across the River Cole, to carry westbound traffic as well as providing improved pedestrian and cycle facilities.
