Stepend Bridge is a single span stone arch bridge which carries the B7015 over the Breich Water a mile or so west of Livingston. The bridge is unusual in that it appears to have been built on a curve, with the narrow roadway snaking over the arch. It also appears to have been widened on the northern side, which is the inside of the curve, where the old stone parapet has been removed and a concrete structure appended to carry a pavement. This is still slightly curved, however. There is also a separate footbridge across the river on the south side of the road, which is presumably newer. The roadway remains narrow, however, with priority signage to control traffic.
