The Stirling Corner Link was a proposed link road between the M1 and A1, heading northeast from the partially unbuilt Scratchwood Interchange. Although it has been proposed many times since this section opened, with a junction number even left on the M1 for it (J3), the road has never been constructed. Scratchwood Interchange was partially constructed and now provides access to London Gateway Services. According to "Trunk Roads Into the 1990s" this is a "proposed motorway" and not all-purpose. Its unclear whether it would have been a spur of the M1, or be given another number.
