The name of this Junction / Bridge may not be accurate because
Seems to have different names on different sources. May have been known as:
- Streatham Interchange
- Tooting Bec Interchange
- Tooting Bec Common Interchange
- Balham Interchange
- Brighton Radial Interchange
Streatham interchange is the short lived proposed northern terminus of the M23 during the ringways scheme. It would have terminated the M23 onto the Balham Loop spur of Ringway 1. The Balham Loop plans were dropped in 1967, along with Streatham Interchange, for the period between 1967 and 1973 (when the entire ringway 1 was cancelled]] The M23 was scheduled to terminate on Ringway one, however there were no public plans drawn up to illustrate where it would have gone.
Junction Layout=
The junction plans were up, and the M23 would split into a Y, then following slip roads merge/diverge to/from the Balham Loop. It would have taken up most of Tooting Bec Common.
