Regional or local?

There is some doubt about the present classification of this road. Although signs were erected displaying the route number R999 and National Transport Authority documentation dealing with cycle routes and dating from 2014 also gives this number, more recent maps and documents relating to speed limit by-laws and published in 2017 by Wicklow County Council give the number as L1101. It's possible (and perhaps likely) that this L number is a hangover from the time before Drumkay Road was upgraded to become part of the Wicklow Port Access Road.
