Tameside Council

Tameside Metropolitan Borough Council is the Highway Authority for all roads in the Metropolitan Borough of Tameside, which does not include the M60 and M67 which are managed by National Highways.

The west of the council area falls within the historic county of Lancashire, whilst the east side is within Cheshire. A small area in the north of the authority lies within the West Riding of Yorkshire.
