Temple Tor Junction is a Junction currently under construction on the A30 in Cornwall. It is being built as part of the A30 Dualling works between Temple and Higher Carblake on the western side of Bodmin Moor and is named after the hill, or "Tor", that lies to the east of the junction.
It was originally a simple crossroads, and was improved in the 1950's to improve the A30 as this section was very steep. The road to the East was dualled in the 1990's, and was left with a simple gap in the central reservation to allow traffic to cross the A30 and the regular queues that built up here.
It is being rebuilt as a Compact Grade Separated Junction, with short off ramps and simple give-way style entries onto the A30 which, given the volume of turning traffic here, will be more than appropriate.
