Built to serve the Emersons Green Retail Park and the housing estate that has grown up around it, and perhaps better known as the Emerson's Green Roundabout, this junction is officially known as The Rosary. It also had a stub on the eastern side, pointing ominously at the M4. Whether this was intended to be the link to the once proposed J18a or simply left prepared for future development is uncertain. The spur to the M4 would have met the Ring Road near here however. The exit now leads into the Lyde Green development.
