A2, Unclassified

Thong Interchange is a former junction on the A2. It was only well known due to its innuendo name. The junction itself was a half diamond for the small villages of Thong and Cobham. In the late 00's, the A2 was upgraded to D4M and the junction was closed down. Traffic wanting to go to the villages now uses the next junction the Cobham turn off. As part of the Lower Thames Crossing plans, a new junction will be build slightly to the west of this junction between the crossing, the A2, and an extended M2.
